Justin J. Yahner, aged 41, was suddenly taken from us due to a heart attack on the morning of September 15, 2023, at his home in Ebensburg. Born on April 15, 1982, in Johnstown, Justin was the beloved son of Dennis and Denise Yahner (née Hatch). He leaves behind an enduring legacy through his loving wife of 13 years, Hilary Yahner (née Manning), and their two sons, Sullivan Montgomery and Ketch Manning Yahner.
Surviving him are also his doting parents; sisters Annette (married to Mike Noel) and Angela (married to Mike Lorenz); paternal grandfather, John Yahner and his wife Mary; in-laws Diane and Douglas Manning; as well as his special Uncle Kevin Hatch. Justin’s impact extended to his committed team at Country Garden 6-Pack, his faithful dog “Chief,” and a close-knit circle of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
An alumnus of Central Cambria High School and Shippensburg University, Justin was the proud owner and operator of the Country Garden 6-Pack in Ebensburg. Justin was passionately involved with the Ebensburg Youth League, often accompanied by his sons. He also enjoyed membership in both the Colver Sportsman Club and the Carrolltown Rod and Gun Club. Additionally, he contributed his insights and leadership skills as a member of the Ebensburg Mainstreet Partnership Board.
In his lifetime, Justin lost several dear family members: his paternal grandmother, Mary Jane Yahner; maternal grandparents, E. Jane and Beverly J. Hatch; and cousins Bevin Colian, Kalvin Yahner, and Alissa Hoover. His cherished dog “Captain” recently preceded him in passing.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., in Ebensburg. A private family funeral service will follow at a later date. Instead of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Ebensburg Youth League at P.O. Box 834, Ebensburg, PA 15931, in Justin’s memory.
