This German Shepherd Was So Delighted By His Amazing Christmas Surprise
Christmas traditions are a very big part of why we all care for the holidays. Everyone loves them… even our dogs.
There is nothing better than having the entire family at home and enjoying each other’s company around the Christmas tree.
In this story, we will talk about a very special German Shepherd who recently got the best surprise anyone could wish for on this amazing holiday.
Zeus’ Surprise
A few years back, a video of Zeus was posted online, and in it, we can see a very excited pup eagerly awaiting Christmas.
He knew he was going to get a great present this year, and he couldn’t contain his excitement about it.
As his owner opened the door, Zeus noticed that there was another dog there. It was his new sibling, Luna.
She was also a German Shepherd puppy. Zeus was very gentle with her and decided to introduce himself.
He spent some time following her around and trying to get to know her, and Luna was just very busy exploring her new home.
They went back and forth for a few minutes, and then she got a bit tired, so she decided to lay down near her new sibling, Zeus.
By the end of the video, you can just see the two puppies relaxing and enjoying themselves on Christmas.
A Surprising Reaction
Normally, when you introduce a new dog to the family, it doesn’t always go well, but for this family, everything went great.
So, when they posted the video on TikTok, a lot of people were surprised by this German Shepherd’s reaction.
One person commented on Luna’s behavior, saying: “I’ve never seen a puppy so unbothered like the big dog doesn’t even exist to her”.
Another person was concerned about dogs being “replaced” when getting new siblings, and said: “I saw a video yesterday about older dogs getting new siblings and thinking they are being replaced and now I can’t think of anything else”.
And lastly, one person commented on how they predict this new relationship will develop, and said: “Our GSD tried to eat his new sister for the first hour. They’re best friends now! 2 is better than 1”.
While these can be real concerns, it’s important to understand that they do not necessarily apply to all dogs.
Before introducing new puppies into the family, it’s important to ease them into it, and maybe introduce the new friend in a different environment, so they can get to know each other first.
Regardless, this should not be a problem for most dog owners. Zeus and Luna are the prime example of this, as they are now best friends and are rarely ever separated.
