Watch This Confused Dog’s Reaction To His Owner’s Unbelievable Transformation
Even though we all know how important the sense of smell is for dogs, sometimes we tend to forget just how powerful that sense truly is.
This is an incredible story of a dog who managed to recognize his owner solely because of his good nose.
Who Are You?
After a dog owner tragically ended up in the hospital for five weeks, he had to be separated from his four-legged best friend.
During those hard five weeks, the dog’s owner managed to lose 50 pounds, resulting in him being quite unrecognizable.
Being finally reunited with his pup, the owner was left quite confused when he realized that his dog was barking at him.
Soon, he realized that it was all due to his drastic change in appearance. His dog simply didn’t recognize him!
I Know You!
However, after the dog got a bit closer to the man, he decided to give him a little sniff, and when he did, it clicked!
He then realized that that was actually his hooman!
The dog was super excited when he found out who was sitting in front of him. He started jumping for joy and into the lap of his hooman, showing how happy he was to finally be reunited with his best friend.
The little pupper simply couldn’t contain his excitement. He was jumping around, wagging his tail, and soaking up all the love he missed so much.
Luckily, for us, the adorable reunion was captured and we were able to get in on all of the cuteness.

Sense Of Smell
Interestingly enough, a dog’s nose contains up to 300 million olfactory receptors, whereas humans only have 6 million!
Also, a dog’s part of the brain that is responsible for analyzing smells is about 40 times greater than a human one. Isn’t that incredible!?
This is exactly the reason why this dog managed to recognize his owner only by his smell, and also why any other dog will wake up as soon as you put a little treat in front of their little nose!
The world of senses really is fascinating!
