They also reached the top of the iTunes charts in 14 countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, and Thailand.
On August 21, 2016, on the stage of Inkigayo, Blackpink broke the record for being the girl group to win the fastest on all music shows since their debut and promotion. Blackpink was dubbed as the “monster rookie” group.
Following their success and not resting on their laurels, in November 2016, Blackpink released their second single album, “Square Two,” which included two tracks, “Playing with Fire” and “Stay”. The second album, especially “Playing with Fire,” reached the top spot on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, the Canadian Hot 100 chart, and the Korean music chart.
